Alton is a picturesque market town in Hampshire, and Cycle Alton is for everyone who cycles in and around the town and nearby villages.
Founded in 2020, we give local cyclists a voice for safer streets and better cycling infrastructure, while promoting cycling as the natural choice for short journeys.
Cycling in Alton means less congestion, noise, and pollution, and a healthier, more vibrant environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.
![Our final bicycle maintenance workshop took place yesterday in Alton Community Centre, and it was fully-booked once again.
Many thanks to Hilary for once again teaching these sessions which are always well-received.
One participant said "I feel confident doing the [brakes] now, when I didn't before; thank you so much for making this available. Really useful."
We are grateful to The Alton Society who funded these workshops .](https://scontent-den2-1.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.82787-15/876961139_18093455537670953_948879094001802351_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_tt6&_nc_cat=108&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=18de74&efg=eyJlZmdfdGFnIjoiRkVFRC5iZXN0X2ltYWdlX3VybGdlbi5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=L8qZ79ijhQoQ7kNvwHvlpDE&_nc_oc=AdrNup1843fKCrBiLOtin6xjgR8nAFg_Uy0A0XEcuz9j-EtCakGwwJttlCLmgoSBRiQ&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-den2-1.cdninstagram.com&edm=ANo9K5cEAAAA&_nc_gid=UQhY9l4ouko23DNBlmc7Fg&_nc_tpa=Q5bMBQJK0Y56jV24MmtkergbqSvgB_EyfJfl-zxt4JxTB5Rj8p6jTWAOeiNLmCGVk41v_NuzgTQl4XlQ&oh=00_AQR3jmThGEa2LeBhyFs5IwytVsxhQN0LI5Za94KOunPf2g&oe=6AF5C129)
